- Students are assessed based on the exam alone.
- Re-assessment, if needed, consists of 100% exam.

Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module, students will be able to
- Apply the gauge principle both in the abelian and the non-abelian case.
- Apply the Goldstone theorem.
- Work out the consequences of the Higgs mechanism.
- Identify the basic interaction vertices between the fields in the standard model Lagrangian.
