Admissions
Candidates are normally required to have a good honors degree in theoretical physics or mathematics, but graduates in other subjects may be considered if they have sufficient background in the research they wish to pursue.
Application forms for registration as a graduate student can be obtained from the Graduate Admissions Office. For further information, consult the Graduate Studies Application Information on the Graduate Studies web-site. The completed form should be returned to the same office together with the application fee by 1 July for admission to the graduate register on 1 October and by 1 February for admission on 1 April. However, it is possible to consider late applications.
Special inquiries will be welcomed by the School of Mathematics. Students should discuss their research proposals with a member of the department before submitting their application form.
