About Oxia Palus

Oxia Palus is an AI art collective co-founded by Anthony Bourached and George Cann in 2019. The collective gained international attention in September 2019 for reconstructing lost Picasso paintings using neural networks, reaching press headlines worldwide.

The project combines cutting-edge machine learning techniques with art history and conservation, using AI to recover and reconstruct artworks that have been lost, damaged, or painted over throughout history.
