IQFT07 - Fourteenth Irish Quantum Field Theory Meeting 2007

The invited plenary speakers are:
- Valery Rubakov (Institute for Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences)
- Janos Balog (KFKI Research Institute for Particle and Nuclear Physics, Budapest)
- Xenia de la Ossa (Mathematical Institute, Oxford)
Prof. Rubakov will deliver the O'Raifeartaigh Memorial Lecture at 8.30 at the Ardilaun Hotel (after the conference dinner). The topic of his talk will be "Anomalous baryon number non-conservation: ups and downs".
There will also be talks by speakers based at Irish Institutions.

Conference Dinner
The conference dinner will take place on Friday 11th May, 7.00 at the Ardilaun Hotel, Galway. The cost of the meal will be €35 per person. The dinner must be booked (and any special dietary needs communicated) by Tuesday May 8th by contacting Michael.Tuite

Registration Fee
A registration fee of €25 will be charged. This fee will be waived for graduate students and postdocs.

A number of options are available. In all cases, advanced booking is strongly recommended since Galway tends to attract many visitors in early summer and at weekends.

Train: From
Dublin by train. The last train on Thursday 10th May departs Heuston station, Dublin at 19.05 and arrives in Galway at 21:48. The first train on Friday 11th May departs Heuston station, Dublin at 07:10 and arrives in Galway at 09:53.
A minibus will meet the Friday morning train and bring delegates to the University.

Bus. From Dublin by bus. A regular
Bus Eireann service leaves Busaras Dublin every hour on the hour from 08.00 until 20.00 taking around 3 hours 30 mins. A private bus company,
Citylink, also runs a regular and cheaper service between Dublin city and airport to Galway city.

From Dublin/Cork:
Aer Arann run regular flights from Dublin/Cork to Galway. The last flight from Dublin on Thursday May 10th leaves at 22:30 and arrives at 23:15. The first flight from Dublin on Friday May 11th leaves at 09:00 and arrives at 09:45. The university is best reached by taxi from there.

From the UK:
Direct flights to Galway airport with Aer Arann are available from London Luton, Manchester, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, and Cardiff. Direct flights to Galway with
Flybe are available from Belfast, Birmingham and Southampton. Some direct flights to Shannon airport and Knock airport are also available from the UK with
Ryanair and others. These are located about 90 minutes away from Galway City.

Parking. Visitors must park in Pay and Display (P&D) spaces, which are located in various places around the campus. Please see the
Map of Pay & Display Parking Locations. The rate is €6 per day. Parking will be free on Sat May 12th.

Postgraduate and Postdoctoral Subsidies
