Nonequilibrium quantum fields, transport coefficients and the 2PI
effective action in the large N limit

Abstract:
 A study of thermalization in QFT requires the understanding of
hydrodynamics and transport. I'll argue that the approach based on the
two-particle irreducible effective action, combined with a large N
expansion, is among the most promising ones to study the dynamics of
nonequilibrium quantum fields.
