Ross Wynne : Final Year Computer Science (Formerly of the Maths Dept)

(Apologies for the webpage, I haven't found time nor motivation over the past few years to update it)

My new website is located at: www.wynner.eu

Just some info on me and the whole Unix thing...

I've been here for the past nine years and I was at one stage the Maths department webmaster.

If you're looking for me I'll most likely be in my apartment in Patrick Street in the City Centre. Quirkys' snooker room on O'Connell Street was another of my haunts but now I go elsewhere for a quieter snooker experience. To see if I'm online just click this.

As a tormented Unix user on the network the place to visit with Q's answered is the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page. It contains lots of quick answers to those ohhh soo infuriating things that nobody can be bothered to answer!

If you have heard about the mystical .plan or .project files and the rumors that they actually hold results from alien autopsy's then you are needed in the Phycology Dept.! Otherwise I would suggest reading Niall "Nothing has been proven linking me to those missing sheep" Brady's Plan page. Brady also has a chmod page which can be handy from time to time.

I'm also have the enviable task of looking after the official search engine of the Maths department. It can got to at http://www.maths.tcd.ie/htdig. If you have any problems email me (Doesn't have to be about the search engine you know!) and I'll try to sort them out. The current version is 3.1.4 and it's that version that's installed. I've also written an FAQ page to answer and questions you may have.

Check out my mates webpages:

Mogwai's page is for those of you who are into Radiohead and Mogwai (surprising that isn't it). WARNING Watch this boy at parties... He's an animal!!! The continual rumors of our relationship are totally unfounded and will be denied by both parties involved. The photo's were created by tabloid journalists (who occasionally get things right!)...

I've been working for an English solicitors firm for the past 9 years. I primarily do all the IT admin work (writing databases, building new machines, network admining, etc). We launched our website a few years ago but I hope to improve it over the summer.
