Artificial Intelligence -- Talking to Machines

Abstract:
Advanced understanding of the neural networking of the brain and body
lead computer scientists and engineers to begin a concerted effort
to emulate the human being in the lab as an ultimate challenge to
the scope of their fields. A key requirement in the quest to develop
intelligent machines is to perfect communication between machine and
human interactor. In order to make an artificial human integrated and
approachable it must be able to comprehend and be understood not only
by the scientist, but by the general public. Once this key issue has
been mastered then all other processes involved in the ``humanising''
of the machine, while still not simple, are at least simplified.
The Natural Language having been tackled with great success the ease
of further development is enhanced and ``intelligent'' machines may fulfil
their requirements to a greater extent than they might otherwise have been
afforded.
