As a result of his weakened state, his followers decided that they needed a ``new'' God, and to these ends ``elected''Marius, a stranger travelling through the land, to be their new leader. He was brought to the sacrificial ceremony and the God of the Grove transformed him into a vampire.
Now, no longer needed, the God was destroyed by his followers, but not before he warned Marius that he must escape. And here endeth the brief appearance of the God of the Grove.
