Hobbies

I enjoy learning new things, and try to take a couple of evening classes each year. In the last few years I've taken classes in: interior design, stained glass, tai-chi and Irish Sign Language (in which I now hold a Level 3 Certificate).

I also returned to college in 2001 to do an MSc in Science Communication.

Current projects: A tapestry of "The Last Supper."

I write user documentation for a living, and (occassionally) fiction in my spare time.

I like computer games with pretty graphics, but that's Dave's fault. Some of our favourites: Worms, Pa Rappa the Rapper, the Oddworld games, Myst (& Co), Bust-a-Groove, Space Channel 5 and Rez. (Spotting any trends?)

I'm a big Muppets fan.

I'm an enthusiastic vegetarian cook (I've been a veggie since 1988) My specialities are a mean tomato soup, spicy bean burrittos, vegetable lasagne and tiramisu. I also make fresh pasta. Dave makes excellent chillis and stuffed peppers. We've recently been experimenting with the risotto genre with great success.
