Fluid Simulation for High Speed Networks

Abstract

iWe propose to use fluid model based time-driven simulation to simulate high speed networks. For single class fluid in feedforward networks, we prove that the error introduced by discretizing a fluid model is within a deterministic bound proportional to the discretization interval length and is not related to the network size. We show that fluid simulation offers the flexibility to trade accuracy for efficiency, and it is also easy to parallelize. These features enable us to speed up simulation
