Notes

A discussion of the requirements of modeling an internet sized network: 10^10 events for one hour for a 100,000 node simulation. Their kernel, DaSSF, can simulate 10^6 events per second. DaSSF is a parallel implementation of the Scalable Simulation Framework. They get linear speedup with up to 14 nodes on a shared memory Sun.
