School of Maths Homepage - Here you can find information on the School of Maths in Trinity, its lecturers and researchers and the courses run by it. Vladimir Dotsenko - No longer at Trinity, but lectured in linear algebra and number theory. Always got excited when approaching the end of a proof. Damn, we miss you Vlad. Paschalis Karageorgis (Pete) - Lecturer in linear algebra (formerly analysis on the real line), ordinary differential equations, partial differential equations and topology. Pete graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was lectured by John Stalker, who also now works in the school of mathematics. David John Simms - Emeritus Professor who teaches analysis in several real variables and calculus on manifolds. He has his own Wikipedia page, which can be found here. He specialises in differential geometry and did his PHD under the Scottish mathematician William Hodge, after whom the Hodge Star Operator in geometry is named. When Simms was young, he was on the SS City of Cairo when it was hit and survived for almost two weeks at sea after it sank. Simms became a scholar at Trinity College in his first year. Sergei Frolov Covers the advanced classical mechanics module in second year, a course that deals with Lagrangian, Hamiltonian and relativistic mechanics. He is a researcher of string theory. School of Physics Homepage - Provides information about courses, research and academic work of the School of Physics. Foams Research Page - Research group headed by Stefan Hutzler and Matthias Moebius and formerly Emeritus Professor Denis Weaire.
