My main interest lies in establishing and using relations between distant areas of theoretical physics. String theory reveals many such relations. For example, it interrelates quantum gauge theory, integrable systems, supergravity, classical Yang-Mills, and quantum gravity. These relations allow one to reinterpret classical problems in a new language and find explicit answers.
