The course will cover selected topics in the theory of numerical methods for solving the following classes of problems:

1. Initial Value Problems for O.D.E.'s
2. Two point boundary value problems for O.D.E's
3. Partial Differential Equations.

In most years there will be a project involving the coding of some practical algorithms for solving differential equations.
