Post title: Early Stage Researcher (ESR) PhD Studentship

Applications are invited for an Early Stage Researcher (ESR) PhD studentship to work within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network (MSCA ITN) “SAGEX” (Scattering Amplitudes: from Geometry to Experiment) in the area of scattering amplitudes in gauge theory and gravity. The ESR appointed will work under the supervision of Prof. Tristan Mc Loughlin in the School of Mathematics, Trinity College Dublin. The goal of the research project will be to apply modern methods to the study and computation of soft limits of scattering amplitudes in gauge and gravity theories and to study the relation to symmetries of the underlying theories.
The post is a full time, fixed-term appointment for three years, with an expected start date of August 31st 2018. The position will be at a fixed salary rate of approximately €31,480 per annum plus a mobility allowance and a family/dependents allowance.

Eligibility requirements
As part of the MSCA ITN scheme, there are strict *eligibility requirements*. At the time of appointment, applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Ireland for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before appointment under the project; AND shall also be in the first four years of their research careers at the time of appointment by the host organisation and have not been awarded a doctoral degree.
