F.5 Reaching the Conference Locations

To reach ICC (map,ps) (e.g. from Zoologischer Garten, see F.3 Arriving in Berlin) take the subway line U2 until the stop Kaiserdamm and follow the ICC signs from there (a good 5 minutes walk). ICC is also served by the bus lines 104 (directly from Tempelhof airport) and by the X34, X49, 139 (stop at Witzleben station), X21, and 149 bus lines which stop directly at ICC, by the S-Bahn lines S4, S45, and S46 (station Witzleben), and by the S-Bahn lines S3, S5, S7, S75, and S9 (station Westkreuz, 5 minutes walk).

TU Berlin (map) is located at Ernst-Reuter-Platz, which is a stop for the U2 subway line (one stop away from Zoologischer Garten), for the X9 express bus (from Berlin Tegel airport), and for the 145 and 245 bus lines. Leaving the Ernst-Reuter-Platz subway station take the exit marked Technische Universität. Above ground you will see the three conference buildings: the Architecture Building (A) with orange sun blinds right on Ernst-Reuter-Platz, the red-and-blue Math Building (MA), and the (huge white) Main Building (H), facing each other on the street called Str. des 17. Juni (see the map in gif or ps format). TU Berlin is also located within walking distance from the S-Bahn station Tiergarten.

The Urania (map) is located in Kleiststraße 13. Take subway U1, U2, or U15 to Wittenbergplatz or subway U4 to Nollendorfplatz.

The Deutsche Oper (map), Bismarckstraße 34-37, is in walking distance from TU Berlin. Subway U2 has a stop Deutsche Oper (two stops away from Zoologischer Garten), the stop Bismarckstraße of subway U7 is also close to Deutsche Oper.
