Title: Optimal switching of vaccination for an infectious disease model Authors: Shraddha Salwahan (Indian Institute of Tech. Mandi, Kamand, India) Syed Abbas (Indian Institute of Tech. The aim is to find the most effective switching signal to manage the disease's effects as effectively as maintaining a continuous vaccination program. A nonlinear, non-convex optimal control problem of the switched system is converted into a linear and convex optimal control problem by applying the theory of moments and semi-definite programming. Finally, some numerical simulations are performed to compare continuous vaccination programs and optimal switching of vaccination control. Submitted August 26, 2024. Published October 08, 2024.
