Getting to Trinity College from Dublin airport
Trinity College Dublin is situated in central Dublin and can be reached from Dublin Airport via several bus routes or by taxi. Unfortunately, there is no train connection from the airport.
The airport is served by the city's public bus service, Dublin Bus, on Route 16 and Route 41. Both will take you to the city centre. Route 41 terminates on Abbey Street, just across the river from Trinity - make sure you take the bus to Abbey street and NOT to Swords manor, which would take you away from the College! Route 16 originates from the airport (so there is no risk of taking it in the wrong direction), and is a little slower than route 41, but passes by D'Olier street and College Green, which are closer to the university. Note that Dublin Bus does not accept card payment, so you must pay with coins (no change given!!), or by Ireland's transport Leap Card. The fare is €2.60 per way.
There are also private airport bus options, Dublin Express and Aircoach, that run frequent transfers from the airport to the city centre for roughly €7.
You can also take a taxi. There are taxi ranks at both terminals, or if you prefer, you can request a pick up using the Free Now taxi app. The estimated fare is €23-35. Ireland does not have Lyft nor Uber.
