No, I'm not competing in the Olympics. I'm not even watching them. But I did become curious about the large number of gold medals which China has been winning, compared to silver and bronze medals, and decided to do a statistical analysis. It doesn't require any background in Probability Theory or Statistics to understand. There is a lot more to it than just China's medal streak, so it ended up being longer than I had originally planned. I hope someone will find it interesting.
