Coffee
From Mathsoc wiki
We've all heard the quote, now to find the coffee...
3fe,Twisted Pepper Building, Middle Abbey St. & Lower Grand Canal St.
THE best coffee shop in Dublin (as far as I know). Excellent filter coffees and espressos. Very different from other coffee shops. Check them out. They're here and now here (I guess they'll show up when Google does another street view run.)
Cup, Leinster St. South
Another specialty coffee shop. They get their coffees from 3fe; fantastic. They only do filters for a minimum of two people. However their Americanos are amazing. Check them out. (Again, I guess they'll appear here eventually)
Clement & Pekoe, South William St.
A new place similar to 3fe; predominantly tea, but they're starting to serve really good coffees.
il Caffè di Napoli, Westland Row
If you've got fifteen/twenty mins to spare before your next class it's a must.
Java City, Westland row
Not great, but when you've got four hours in a row, you'll find yourself giving in. They close at 4pm (earlier on Fridays I think).
Bewleys, Grafton St.
Nice atmosphere in the James Joyce room. Colombian roast was nice if memory serves.
Insomnia, Lincoln Pl.
Nothing special. €3.50 deal (any coffee and muffin) can be too good to pass up sometimes. Now open until eight.
Science Gallery, Pearse St.
di Napoli do coffee here too.
Costa Coffee, Corner of Nassau St. & Dawson St.
Average coffee, but lots of space downstairs to stay chatting for hours and not get kicked out.
Starbucks, Dawson St.
Relatively expensive, but nothing special.
That vending machine next to the Hamilton computer rooms
Avoid all milk based beverages; the americanos are acceptable (I've been told).
