It could have been ugly, but I think I got away fairly unscathed. I had my leaving drinks with the climbers on Saturday night, starting off in a rather packed pub called O'Neills. When we got kicked out of there, we headed to Doyles, a late bar and a mini nightclub downstairs. After a little bit of boogying, we get kicked out of there. Any smart person would have gone home at this stage, but no, not me. Managed to convince the barmen to give us a couple of cans of beer, and we headed up to the Maths department of my old university, out on the roof. There we drank and smoked, ridiculed passers by stumbling along drunk below, and generally had a pretty funny time, right up until the sun came out. These little moments are what life is all about. It was a pretty big weekend, my last climbing trip away before I leave. A bunch of us headed down to Glendalough, went climbing, traversed around the lake, and um, some of us went skinny dipping in it at 4:30am, after a late night drinking session. I will miss these people - they are fun.
