Euro, we salut you!
I'm sure you do...
Do you like my duck?
I could stand being at home no more. It was time to leave.
4 ways to a better life. Is there anything else you need?
So Christmas Day has been and left...
I count those present. We're all there
Altogether too much of this.
But much, much craic.
Home is where the heart is...also acts pretty well as some sort of detention center.
It was a strange day...full of strange happenings. I've redone my Christmas list. Can I have a new family for Christmas, because I'm shocked by this lot.
Christmas, a time when people start doing silly things...like posing in front of cameras...[sigh]
So my father finished the log shed. But what would a log shed be without logs?
One day closer to the day in which most people have lost the true meaning... myself included.
World Peace. The Christmas Present that everyone wants but is afraid to ask for because they know they will not get.
So another of my best friends decided to leave Ireland today. It was really sad to see her go. I will miss her for sure. Last night we went on the tear starting at an Italian who served Seafood Chowder without the seafood and with added celery and Caesar Salad without the anchovies. Anyway we went out in a big way as the photos tell. Rolled into bed at about 5:30am.
Is it the craic that goes into every pint?
Irish are tops!. So what if they are all just alcoholics.
The festiveness at home has reached an all time high. It was time to cut the tree down from the garden and apply the glam.
Construction. Mulled Wine. Chocolat.
Went home this weekend to help my father with building the log shed. Creosote is a lovely thing. Actually it was the offer of free beer and food that did it.
Desktop group Christmas Lunch. Photos tell it all.
I've been having a lot of hassle with my bank. They saw it fit to credit someone else's account with 1,500 IEP instead of mine. We are not amused.
So some bastard decided to paint over my wall. Now they have this to contend with.
Just for dobey. I guess it's free advertisement for something I'll never use. Now Calum makes me think of this when I see any release annoucements. Thank you very much.
Sunday..time to laze around and catch up on some much needed climbing. Been training at UCD climbing wall...it's fantastic and I will definitely drop my gym membership in preference to joining this wall. They have an excellent leading wall, which I still haven't tried because it requires a proffieciency test and no one has been around to give it when I've been there. Next time. Pub after...nothing changes.
My evil twin brother.
So my *supposed* cube buddy took it upon himself to use my monitor and goat and monkey accessories as a coconut shy. You'd think he owns the place.
Another heavy day of meetings but the Sun ARC stuff is really coming together. Nils is a great guy to have in the office with this stuff. Went out to Kitty's Kaboodle for a meal and some pints after.
Sweet day, so cool, so calm, so bright. After my hangover cleared anyway. Tickets to Australia are booked, iBook is ordered. Could life be better?
Nils is over from the US to go through some of the ARC stuff which has been a great help. I does however mean that you spend most of your day in meetings. But a pub at the end always makes up for it. A hangover doesn't.
Evolution 1.0 is out. The monkeys have outshone themselves once more. I've been using it for the last 3 months and I can't see myself moving to a different mailer for a long time.
So I booked my flights today. Dublin, London, Osaka, Brisbane, Sydney, Tokyo, London and Dublin in a four weeks. Arrive into Brisbane 2nd Feb and Sydney 11 days later. I guess I now have to check out some climbing there, although probably won't et much of a chance in Brisbane. Blue Mountains here we come!.
Winter has come incredibly late. There are still leaves on the trees and for some reason we have holly *with* berries in the garden. This is an unprecidented event which scares the willies out of me.
Dear Santa,
Wandered aimlessly around the shops this morning trying to finally book a flight to Australia. This mission was merely to get the cheapest deal and I've finally decided to go Japan Airlines for 729 IEP. This gets me a flight to Brisbane, then from there to Sydney and from Sydney home to Dublin by way of a free overnight stop in Tokyo. I book it on Monday.
Decided to go home and see my parents this weekend. Really I was just looking for free beer and home cooked food, but don't tell them that. It was really great being home again. It was the annual clearup of all the leaves, so I just stood and watched and gave them encouragement for the job at hand.
