30 April

The trouble with the weather getting better, the bicycle shed gets fuller.

29 April

I bet this guy feels so proud...that he has been Pierce Inducted.

28 April

Sometimes I feel guilty for not taking part in all these peace marches and I feel more guilty for questioning their usefulness.

27 April

I went over to a friends house to play on her new Playstation dance mat. It totally rocked and really looking forward to the day that she buys the second one so we can have versus battles. Just for the record, it was Jungle Book Groove Party. You see? Playstation can be good for you afterall.

26 April

Wow, I think I can play loud music, walk on the flower beds, act drunk and be a general public nuisance and only get fined five pounds. What a deal. Oh wait, that's capital Five Pounds.

25 April

The Eircom employees on the campus are really having a touch time recently. I don't think they get out much either.

24 April

Mark's final work day in Ireland...and we didn't even get him remotely drunk. Things will be remarkably quiet while he's gone...although there is a small chance if we get to meet up at the hacker fest in Boston [although probably unlikely since it's bound to coincide with Sun's release dates].

23 April

I think you've been eating too many pork pies m'dear. Oh wait, maybe it should be 'telling'. Oh well...same difference.

22 April

The community action group of the 'No Wall, No Way' campaign have moved up a step and were organizing some sort of protest when I was cycling home. The next morning the place had fencing up all around it, with two security guards.

21 April

Every Sunday, artists assemble around Merrion Square to sell off their paintings...and every Sunday I say to myself that I must go and have a wander around looking at these pictures. Needless to say that I never do.

20 April

Patrick has moved to a place just around the corner. I can smell a house party in the not too distant future.

19 April

Decided to walk down with some of the climbers from Enniskerry to Glendalough. It was funny seeing Katie come along to the flat carrying twice her own weight and then realizing that this was perhaps a mistake. The walk was wonderful despite the crappy weather. If you get to know the people that you are walking with one tiny little bit better then you have achieved something truly special.

18 April

So, yet another friend decides to leave this country. He's run out of luck with acting/writing jobs in Ireland so it's time to try somewhere else. He heads to London at the start of July.

friends--;

17 April

Yes, I would like to be there too.

16 April

This is my cousin Ethan who is now proudly playing for the Mosman U6 Tassie Devils. I have yet to establish their position in the league tables but I am hopeful that the team trading cards will be available soon.

15 April

Even though I don't drink coffee, someday I would like to go here, if even just to sit.

14 April

Would have wasted the entire day had it not been for Emer [Domhnall's sister] driving the three of us up to Three Rock for a short wander and some bouldering. The rock is very crystaley granite which just hurts like hell - especially if you haven't been climbing at all often. I suck again - maybe this will encourage me to train a little harder. Then headed back for smoked cod and chips and a couple of beers in Domhnall's house which, miraculously, was the cleanest I've ever seen it thanks to a [cute] new flatmate.

13 April

It's so nice to be able to get to the weekend and lose half of it through sleep. Although, in a way, it's kinda sad to waste away the time.

It's very weird how people just pop in and out of your life. Simon, an old friend of mine from school times, suddenly decided that he was going to do a dinner party. I'm not sure if this was a 'hey! look at me! I'm a professional chef' celebrity moment or not. It sure was lovely though and it was nice to see him again. Through a couple of bottles of red wine we shared cabbage and white bean soup, baked cod on a slice of potato with an onion relish and fish skin crisp, pan fried chicken with lime, corriander and leek, sticky chocolate banana with a doughnut bun. We are so trendy.

12 April

Jeff put a 'Glynn Love' album in my iPhoto data...so I've decided to have an International 'Glynn Love day'. I love myself. I'm so amazingly vain.

11 April

There was some sort of IT fair on in the RDS in which linux.ie had a stand. They had a wireless network there so it was a second opportunity to use my airport card. I *heart* wireless.

Owen was over from Bradford. Seems to be having a good time over there with his peace studies course/degree/masters thing. The world needs more people like him.

10 April

For some reason it is in vogue to visit Ireland right now and there seems to be a ton of people who are over. This means another couple of nights in the pub. Sometimes you just get a bit tired of drinking.

Met up for a couple of drinks with Nils, Calum and Mark [and his harem]. It was fun. Then met up with Telsa [who had decided to head home], Alan, Dave and some ILUG people. Apparently I missed Rusty by a couple of hours. Shame, it would have been nice to talk to him again.

9 April

Um, I think you'll find you are wrong.

8 April

The weather has been just miserable. That really hasn't dampened our spirits as bad as the picture looks. It's been a lot of fun and I just wish the conference could last for a little while longer.

7 April

Sevilla has this wonderful bouldering atmosphere about it. The castle walls are brilliant for this. It was hard to get me off various trees, pillars, walls, gateposts and doorframes.

6 April

The GUADEC conference is going peachy. Sevilla life is a little hard to get used to. It combinates in a very long day and about 3 hours sleep. Had a bit of a problem in figuring out the layout of the city, but I think I've got it now - after wandering around for a couple of hours

5 April

Sevilla has a very fine selection of lovely restaurants and bars. I'm not quite sure if we managed to find many of them. We seemed to get attracted towards an Irish pub called O'Flahertys all the time. It was such a waste...apart from the Guinness.

4 April

Jeff is a nutball.

3 April

Dropped George off for the meeting and wandered over to the airport to collect Nils. Found some Swedes instead and spent a good hour trying to reverse up a street that I had managed to drive down. Finally ended up at the apartment where a party [and approximately 100 cans of beer] was in full force.

2 April

Left Gibraltar on a slightly better morning and headed for somewhere near Granada to find what was supposedly the most famous landmark in Spain, Alhombra. For some reason they had a quota on the amount of tickets they issued and we were turned away at the door. Still, wandering around the castle prooved to be very pretty too.

On through El Chorro with some spectacular scenery - a real climbing mecca and it was a pity that I didn't have more time to spend there. We headed back for Sevilla, so that George could be in time for the Advisory Board meeting only to find this rather off-road dirt track.

1 April

So from Cadiz through to Gibraltar. I had been there a couple of years ago and it was a very weird experience...totally different. Wandered up to the rock again, played with the monkeys and found this amazing bush whacking path down the side of the rock. The weather was, again, very shitty and drinking warm British beer didn't really make up for things.
