My research concerns mathematical aspects of
string theory, with special focus on Calabi-Yau compactifications and
topological
string theory. In this regard, I am especially
interested in mirror symmetry and D-brane dynamics on geometrically
nontrivial spaces.
Recently, I have focused on a certain approach to
the subject known as Homological Mirror Symmetry, a broad-ranging
research program
aimed at understanding mirror symmetry with the tools
of algebraic geometry, homological algebra, category theory and
algebraic homotopy theory. My broader research interests include string
field theory, D-brane dynamics, string compactifications on manifolds
of exceptional holonomy, supersymmetric field theory and topological
field theory.
