nervous gender -synth punk legends from LA

"1. Nervous Gender has had members who were in other bands at the same time they performed with us -- i.e. Don Bowles was also in the Germs and 45 Grave and Celebrity Skins. Paul Rossler was in the Screamers and Twisted Roots. Mary Simms was in 45 Grave.

2. In a number of live performances Wall of Voodoo actually made up the rest of Nervous Gender outside of Gerardo and myself.

3. Nervous Gender had an 8 1/2 years old drummer for a year.

4. Photo's of the band and scathing review of the album were presented on the "700 Club" a right wing
born again Christian television show. They said we were worse than Black Flag because we promoted anti-Christian values. The host of the show eventually ran for President of the U.S.

5. Nervous Gender was voted band of the year by Band Magazine even though they had seen us or heard us. "

the cinema eye -ohio 80's synth magic

"1. The Cinema Eye have played in some strange places, including INSIDE a boxing ring, at an indoor soccer rink and two feet from a giant ramp at a skate park.

2. Everyone in the Cinema Eye is currently involved with at least one other band-- David (drums) is involved with four!

3. The bass drum on "A Complete Arsenal" wasn't actually played -- the sound was made by an electronic drum trigger to create the illusion of fullness.

4. Every member of the band believes themselves to be pretty
hilarious, and they spend long drives on tour brushing up on their comedic skills by listening to recordings of Brian Regan, Dave Attell, Todd Barry and David Cross.

5. Paul (guitar) and Mollie (bass keys/vocals) together make
mini-films documenting various Cinema Eye experiences. They've
finished films about the recording of "A Complete Arsenal," the 2004 tour with An Albatross, and are working on a third about the 2003 Sound Virus Showcase/Red Light Sting tour."
