Introduction

Two of the most seductive and exciting technologies to emerge from the net in the last few years are MUDs and the World Wide Web. There are various ways in which the two can be linked: this document aims to collect together the various people working on this in the hope that we can avoid unnecessary duplication of effort and that we can come up with better ideas, faster.

There seem to be three main ways of linking the Web to MOOs:

MOO > Web:
connecting to the Web from the MOO. A lot of people have or are implementing this in some form. (I'm working on a version myself at the moment.) I'd like to know how other people are doing this and what they're using it for.
Web > MOO:
using the MOO to serve info on the Web. Again, a number of people have done this, by various means.
Web <> MOO:
using some sort of Web client to access a MOO and to allow the use of HTML and HTTP to include multimedia in the MOO experience. I had one prototype: I think there are others, but I'm not sure. This is an interesting merge of technologies, to say the least!
