Short Review: Not good. The opposite of good. Bad? Yeah, that's it. Bad.
It just goes to show. You pick up the first book of a series, it's terrible, you leave it for 5 books, and when you get back, what do you find? It's still terrible, and has all the character development of an episode of Lost In Space. The method of the big finish is to get all the characters together in the same place, and have a massive great fight, with angst on the side, until the good girls win, and the bad guy doesn't. The art is still fairly dodgy, too.
