Short Review: Buy. This. Now.
Well, the rigamarole that was The Kindly Ones has ground to a halt, leaving the three-part The Wake to pick up whatever pieces were left around. And so it does, with the Endless appearing at the necropolis to find their brother's burial things, Daniel making right the damage caused by the Kindly Ones, and a number of old friends falling asleep to find themselves in the Dreaming, awaiting a wake. The art by Michael Zulli is simply incredible, but then, it's always been so, even in the terrible The Last Temptation. The real find this issue is Gaiman's regaining of his old magic, with at least three moments that are each worth the price of the book. If you've been away, come back. This is the pure stuff.
