Hellblazer 82
Story by GarthEnnis
Art by Steve Dillon
In this, Garth Ennis's second last issue on the title, he reintroduces
Kit, a character he created so that she could leave John. And so she
comes back, finds John, and says goodbye again. It's subject to the
usual criticisms: Ennis's dialogue is great, but his plotting is
monotonously depressing, his characterisation of John is non-existent,
and the inevitable quick escape clause in the next issue is going to
have to be something special to work consistently with the rest of the
arc, which I doubt. Steve Dillon's art is as pretty as usual with,
again, the usual criticism: with a haircut and dye-job, most of the
character could be John in disguise.
