Short Review: Just a while longer, then it'll all go away...
So, after a lotta running around the country with the ecological crusade, Jamie Delano prepares to end the damn thing, by giving an end to the Animal Man. With the drastic changes he's given to the Animal Man Universe, practically severing it from normal continuity, either the next issue or the first issue of whoever the new guy is may have to pull Grant Morrison's old "this never happened" trick out of a hat, in order to get the series back to a stage where stories can still be told. As it is, it seems that Delano's just going to crash and burn, with Buddy being infected with a bullet of diseases, just in time to give his life for the cause, and lead them by memory, not example. Methinks Jamie's been reading Dune again. The art is quite nice, and the characterisations are getting closer to what they've been evolving towards throughout Delano's run (although someone should have killed Maxine for sheer chirpiness by now). It's no worse than the rest of the last half-dozen, if that's any use to you.
