issue 12, $3.95, IR£3.95

I love this 'zine! I love the noise it makes in my head, the way it looks, the articles, the attitude, the design, but mainly the way that you can say the name over and over again and not get bored. The one thing that I don't like is that this is going to be the last non-newsstand issue. They make a good case for going sub only, but my cash flow is never healthy enough to afford foreign subscription rates. Thankfully Ken Penman (our gracious sponsor) tells me that Forbidden Planet will probably still get copies.

More slick than Fringeware inc, more affordable than Mondo 2000, and less in-your-face than WiReD or RayGun, this has got to be my favourite magazine. It is just packed with an incredible ammount of stuff: interviews with Richard Linklater, Front 242 and William Gibson, R.U.Sirius' Guide to the Seventies, articles on Emigre, The Ignorant Human's Guide to the Internet and regular features Brain Candy, Neurotica, Pranktime.

One article alone makes it worth the price of admission, Refried Brains: una noche loca a Taco Bell. It claims to have been found anonymously on the Internet. I don't care.

As Jeff Goldblum says on one of those beer adverts:
"Don't delay, buy one today".
