Short Review: Seven different pencillers, seven different stories. One great comic.
Truly, a magician walks the earth under the name of James Robinson. There are in these 22 pages seven stories of life in Opal City during the day featured, from the points of view of two normal citizens, and the O'Dare family, Father Clarence and kids Mason,Barry, Matt and Hope, police all. And with the exception of Barry, supercops. I thought a few issues back that James Robinson was attempting to bring a little realism into comic books, but this isn't the case. These four cops do stuff during shootouts that would make Clint Eastwood flinch. Still, with such effortless characterisation (the two civilian stories are incredibly touching), who really gives a rat's ass?
