Short Review: Staying Great. Recommended.

This is the middle issue of the Mask series first story segment, and the check out the review of Ghost 1). This time, it's Ben's turn to put on the mask, and we get "the Speed Metal Messiah" tearing up the town before he makes the same decision that Rick made last issue. Next issue is Hugo, which with any luck means Archie gets the last issue! But enough of this frivolity. As you might have guessed, the four main friends who are currently in possession of the mask are very well characterised, as are the previous owners and concerned citizens, Kathy and The Lieutenant. There's some great mobster activity surrounding, but not denting in the least, the distinctive figure of Walter, ex-bodyguard and current Mask obsessor. And of course a bucket full of capers involving Big-Head himself, and the only use I have ever seen of the words "Quiche" and "Rhumba" as sound-effects. You can't go wrong
