1959, outside Hollywood. A Predator ship lands, and the occupant prepares to go hunting, secure in his invisibility shield. Across town at American National Studios, a new schlock B-movie is going to be premiered that night, with the gimmick that viewers wearing the polarising glasses at the film will be able to see the monster, but the cast won't. The gimmick-maker returns home, and gives a pair of the glasses to his son, who goes into the woods to see what the explosion was about. After that, it's pretty much chase-by-numbers, ending with the Predator leaving with A New Respect For the Prey (tm). Engaging enough, but not by itself worth the money

The art, on the other hand, is by itself worth the money. The pictures fairly sing, the special effect crackle, and the chase scenes are impeccably paced. And the colors are vivid enough to damage the eyes. Even the fake movie posters are convincing.
