Harlan Ellison's Dream Corridor 2

Story by Harlan Ellison
Art by John K Snyder III, John Byrne& Tom Sutton

Dark Horse Comics, $2.95

Short Review: Four great stories, two great adaptations.

John Byrne must die. Not only are his drawings of people for I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream unimaginative and too similar in form to all his other work, but his adaptation takes the fatal step of abandoning the first person outlook of the original, and moves all the exposition directly into the dialogue. Grr. Straight from the handbook of How To Ruin Adaptations, that one. The other two stories are well adapted, and given great and good art by John. K. Snyder III and Tom Sutton respectively. And the fourth story is an original for this issue, presented in text by Harlan himself. Worthwhile all, provided you just read the text version of I Have No Mouth...
