This is the second of two Badger mini-series currently written by Mike Baron and published by Dark Horse, and this one deals with establishing the new Badger continuity, which has changed from what it was the last time, when Badger was published by First Comics. Since I don't know the Badger from Adam, all I found in this was a good introduction issue. Norbert Sykes, Daisy Fields, Dr. Bor and the mysterious Hammaglystwyth - all are presented and identified. All that's left unclear is the questions we're meant to be asking - Is The Badger getting out at night? What does Ham know? How many people are there in Norbert's head? The emphasis is clearly on how deranged Norbert is, and all of the shown personalities are displayed well. Of particular help here is the art by Jill Thompson. The scenes which switch between personalities are really effective, since the art manages to show two clearly different people inside what's recognisably the same head.
