Wow. This is beautiful. The story, the art, the whole thing. It's also a hardcover, but still worth the price. The story starts when Sandra, a waitress-cum-actress serving at a function in an art gallery, meets a handsome stranger named Victor, who work in an unspecified capacity for the successful Dr Wright, owner of the gallery and celebrated Plastic Surgeon. As she gets to know Victor better, Sandra notices oddities about his behaviour, such as inconsistencies in his family history, and his extensive and strangely personal memories of past artists. To say more would be to spoil the book, but it is a great take on one of the greatest horror stories. The art, by Sean Phillips, is rarely short of exquisite, and the interleaving with photographs is incredibly well done.
