Short Review: Rabbit and Dog loose on World! Thousands laugh.
Contrary to what you might think, the title has little to do with this internet thing, and more to do with steering a car with your feet. It's one of the things in this book that you won't find elsewhere. Sam and Max are a talking six-foot dog, on his hind legs, and a cartoonified rabbit, ditto. They;re freelance police, and help solve crimes, exorcise demons, and anything else that has the potential to shoot things a lot. Not that there's a lot of gunplay, since most of the slapstick violence is more inventive. That's what the book is, in essence: inventuiveness, thrown around the place, with plot a secondary thought. There's the aforementioned slapstick, Dick Tracy parodies, non sequiter wacky dialogue and post-modernism, all garnished with a general sense of fun. This is the book Milk and Cheese wishes it was. Highly recommended
