Underwater 2

Story and Art by Chester Brown

Drawn and Quarterly, $2.95

Short Review: Interesting and strange.

The story, of a pair of babies and their impressions of the world around them, continues this month, with more and more of the nonsense around them being changed by exposure into sense. The strange mixing of realities shown last time is missing for the most part here, and but for Chester Brown's storytelling and pacing skills, this would be very dull indeed. The story on the reverse half of the book is a nifty adaptation of part of the Gospel of Matthew, and is fairly impressive.
