Short Review: Family resemblance aside, a good thriller with supernatural elements.
Once upon a time, there was a series about a collection of supernaturals who were a caste apart from humanity, and it was called the Psycho, and it was written by someone whose name escapes me, and drawn by Daniel Brereton. Now, there's a series about a collection of supernaturals (in another universe) who are a caste apart from humanity, and it's both written and drawn by Daniel Brereton. Hmm. That's my bit of detective work done for today, and on to the story.
It's a three group drama, with the good freaks, the bad freaks, and the two cops. From the background on show, it seems that a lot of plot is happening very subtly here, and the main bad dude is missing throughout, presumably so that he can get more time in the last issue. It's not a great issue to start on, but it seems well-constructed. Brereton's great painted art is still the best selling point though. Groovy.
