Well, it had to happen. Scott McCloud's Understanding Comics was a masterpiece of the art form, a turning in of the medium on itself, armed with a good headful of literary criticism, and it was inevitable that a parody would appear. Which is cool; withstanding parodies is a good test of worth, both as an artform, and as a critical work.
Unfortunately, the author Scxtt McClxxd seems to have missed the mark on most of the jabs, setting up straw horses in order to produce a strong reaction, rather than actually coming closer to addressing any of Scott's stylistic or didactical foibles. For every panel showing Scxtt separating the Head of Form from the Body of Content with the Chainsaw of Logical thought, there's one showing Scxtt the moo cow meandering into an abbatior for no goos reason, or claiming a link between Einstein and Comics.
In short, save up enough for five of these, and buy the original. If you've bought the original already, you could do worse. Probably.
