Short Review: Fun, but not as consistently cynical as the title says.
These three stories, all written by Steve Darnall, don't quite manage to sustain the level of comedy set by the first, White Trash Romance, which is as sarcastic a reworking of the traditional romance story as you could wish for. Unfortunately, the remaining two stories, "One of The Walking Dead" and "My Target!" are content to take a twist on the normal love story and just run with it, without feeling it particularly necessary to put any jokes in. The stories don't stand up on their own, I'm afraid to say. The art is good throughout, although Beaderstadt and Barta's work on One of The Walking Dead is tellingly reminiscent of My Terrible Romance.
