It's new! It's here! Iiiit's...terrible. Did you guess? What tipped you off? Was it the fact that it's written 'famous' artist that you've never heard of (Warning! Will Smith! Danger!) ?Could the big busted babe (tm) on the front cover have helped? What about the twin stone and circuitry monoliths? Or the phrase techno-terror? Whatever it was, it was right. Two characters with no characterisation open a crypt of an old goddess, of the kill-everyone type, who then kills them, finds out about technology, and kills some more people. The last page has her hitching a lift from a hippie, who manages to spout slang taken from at least four decades of beatniks. There's probably a good story to be told here, but this doesn't look like it. The horror is unremarkable, the dialogue is incredibly terrible, and the subject area has been done better in Xombi, among others.
