Short Review: Strange, silent, evocative stuff.
There aren't enough words in the English language to describe what this book does to me. Simple tales, told simply by method of movie-like collections of similar photographs; Complex heart-scapes, each picture linked to each other by some non-linear ordering. A two-headed mouse. Grief, nostalgia, family relations and the simple weight of time on us are all expressed and invoked as clearly as anything I have ever seen. Chris Ware has the talent to touch souls, and deserves all your money.
