This year marks the publication of the 8th edition of the Student Economic Review. Like its predecessors, the Review reflects the high standards and diverse interests of economics students in Trinity.
Editorial policy has emphasised accessibility, while maintaining high standards. This has been made possible by a record number of submissions[1] on issues ranging from the History of Economic Thought through the Romanian and Japanese Economies and to the Mathematics of General Equilibrium.
I would like to thank all those who contributed, particularly Cloda Lane and Ian Rowell for their enthusiasm and hard work in editing this publication.
Finally, I would like to thank the Economics Department for its continued support.
